    Hi all,
    is there such thing as a software divx player which doesn't need 'installing' and will play an avi without needing the divx codec to be installed?

    Basically i want to pop the player app and avis on a cd so that they are playable all over the place without each pc needing to have a codec installed?

    Or maybe there is an avi -> exe program, like those you can get to make self-displaying jpg or gifs?

    I believe there are several divx players that can optionally include the codec. Check out Divx-digest for more info.
