I have a new ATI Radeon 8500DV. When capturing, each session begins with the video having a washed-out appearance that transitions to a normal video within 2-3 seconds. This also occurs any time the camera was stopped and started. I've used various capture program, i.e. Studio 8, VirtualDub and Ulead with the same result. Has anyone come across this and solved it?

I have seen the same problem with my 8500DV card too, but only when Im capturing a DVD. Capturing from my DV JVC is fine.
Good luck -
Why not let your capture program run for a few seconds before injecting video into it?

I did try that. It seems that the extreme color imbalance occurs any time I the camera was stopped and started when shooting video. This imbalance doesn't occur on the camera's swing-out screen, nor did it occur when I previously used Studio DC10+. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!
