write error occured at address 004028A9 of module TMPGENC.exe with 008738E8 keep getting this error when at 99%, tried different movies and reinstalled tmpgenc, can anyone she light on the mistake I am making.

What version of TMPGEnc are you using? In version 2.57 this is a known issue and most of the time you can just ignore it. I just started using v.2.58 and haven't encountered it yet, so as far as I can tell it's been fixed in the latest versionWarning! I'm baaaaaaaaack -
I had the same problem with one avi.It would stall at %95.It turned out to be a bad avi. conversion from pinnacle.Made a new avi. file from pinnacle,and it worked fine.

I am using 2.53 so I will upgrade - also think it may be a few bad movies I have downloaded - just done 3 conversions and it worked fine this time, will upgrade version and try again if this does not work will get another copy of the movie.
