what if i have an anamorphic vcd clip, and a television too old to have the magic "16:9" button? do i need around 10 hours to re-encode it? cool...

  2. Yes if you want it to show full screen on your TV otherwise you will have to live with black bars.

IMHO I like it to be original screen or at least letter-box becuz ppl look more real in this screen type. But then depends what size of your TV set, if you have TV smaller than 20" you might not want widescreen.

actually i wasn't talking about a fullscreen pan&scan version; what i got now, is a vcd with a 2.35:1 video "stretched" to be "larger", so when i push the 16:9 button on my tv's remote (which i don't have...) i get a perfet, higer definited 2.35:1 image.
hope i made myself clear... i'm not good in technical talking
