Ripping Desperadeo Region 1 DVD problems

Hi hope you can help me out here!
I am using a dvdplayer that has been locked to region 2, so my first question is how to unluck the player? please help.
Next question is: When I use smartripper to copy the vob files to my computer so i can convert them to mpg it wont work, i have copied several other region 1 dvds with succsess but this one makes broken blocks. can anyone please help me !

Try using clad dvd or dvd decrypter instead of smartripper and see if that helps, as for the making the dvd player region free, check out
