Hello all. I am using IUVCR on my XP machine to serve as a digital VCR. I've run into problems with audio/vidoe sync. It's pretty bada as the lips don't match the dialogue. When I use AVI_IO to capture the sync is perfect. I would just use AVI_IO but the developer has been unable to get the channel tuning to work with XP's WDM capture drivers.
I'm at a loss. Does anyone know if it's possible to fix this issue? It appears to be a software problem rather than an IRQ/motherboard issue since one application works and another doesn't. Thanks for listening.

What frame rate are you using with IUVCR? I had horrible sync problems with VirtualDub until I realized that NTSC video is 29.97fps not 30fps; I was trying to capture 15fps and my audio was always 0.5sec out of sync; lowering the capture rate to 14.99fps fixed it. If you're trying to capture at 30fps, try changing it to 29.97fps and see if this fixes your sync problem.

kidfob,
what do you have your audio settings at? When I'm capturing at 29.97fps, I have my audio at 16khz, 16-bit stereo and it works decently...hope this helps..
