    i convert a avi file into mpg by using TMPG Enc, frame rate using 23.976 which is match the source avi file, however, after converted, i put the *.mpg file into nero to burn VCD, it say the file is not a VCD 2.0 format, and after burnt, i can't watch in all player....

    chat all : how can i solve it???? does any s/w help to fix it?

    You made a non compliant VCD, does your player play those

    Video-CD PAL (MPEG-1 352x288 25fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps)

    Video-CD NTSC (MPEG-1 352x240 29.97fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps)

    Just normal DVD player......

    it seem my player can't play the format which you mention,
    if can't play those, how can i solve it?

    Have you encoded the mpeg with the following settings:

    Video-CD NTSC FILM (MPEG-1 352x240 23.976fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps).

    This setting is VCD compliant, but beware that some dvdplayers doesn't
    support this framerate.

    If it can't play them, you need to load a VCD template, try the PAL at 25fps....
