  1. OK I am burning Monsters Inc. when I downloaded it in RAR files from aol it was titled:

    [ TS-SVCD ] [ Det ] [ Monsters Inc CD 1 ]

    That means its SVCD...right?

Ok it was a bin file so i read on vcdhelp.com to alter the cue file to direct to the location of the bin file...then open nero and click file...burn image. I made sure it said disk-at-once and i burnt it with no problems. The file was EXACTLY 800MB.

I go to play it in my regular DVD-Rom no dice. I put it back in CD-RW and i can see the files but when I go to play the video file off Media Player it just sits and hangs and eventually says invalid format. I tried the same thing on a faster more up to date computer and I even put the actual movie file on the hard drive and still got the same error message. I then found the pioneer 414 info and saw that it plays VCDs...i tried it on the standalone dvd player and it just kept on spitting it back at me.

What did I do wrong? I would just like to download movies in Bin or staright mpeg format and play them on my pioneer dvd player. Please help me if you can =)..

  2. You might want to read the feedback for the 414 regarding SVCD compatibility (or the lack thereof).

As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
