Ok im new at this so im using one of the guides
High Quality Capturing with Little Frame Loss in VirtualDub
When i get to the Set custom format part i cant select the Data Format "YUY2" I get a Unsupported Video Format error.
So the question is? Is this a driver issue, a codec issue, Or a actual hardware issue.
My Video card is a Asus v8200 t2 deluxe
Im using Asus's Wdm Driver (my card preforms better with Asus drivers then with Det's / nividia)
I only have a few codecs installed cause i Havent really got that far yet.

I used to get stuck at that step as well. Now, I just capture at the highest resolution my card will handle without dropping frames and go from there.

Mr El'Kabong,
I used to be able to capture at any resoultion with vdub (under 98SE). However, since I upgraded to W2K (to get around the 4 Gb limit) I too am now experiencing that same problem. I think (IMHO) it is a missing codec or driver problem. Currently, the only codec I have installed is the HuffUv for use with Vdub. However, my ATI capture card has many codecs installed (including the HuffyUv) and this allows me to capture at just about any resolution. Before under 98SE I could do 640x480 Vdub captures without any problems, now under W2K the best I can do right now is 352x288. So, from a logical perspective, I think it is a missing piece of software. Just do not have a clue as to which one it is. But will report back when I find it.
Ed
