I've seen posts regarding players on VCDs. But I would like to include a software player on an SVCD. Is this possible? With what software?
I want to give the 10 minute SVCD to PC users that don't have a DVD player. I've been able to play my SVCD on WinDVD. Can I include WinDVD player on the SVCD?
Thanks

Sure, if you want to commit an easily traceable felony. I would recommend STHSDVD, which is a freeware player. However, like almost all freeware and shareware, it is limited to non-commercial use. Yes, even if you give it away, if you would potentially profit by it, that is commercial use.
If you are distributing a commercial or something similar, consider using SVCD resolution with MPG-1, then you can simply use an autorun to play it in Windows Media Player. This allows your users to watch the video with an absolute minimum of effort and hassle, all they have to do is insert the CD. The same disk will also play in about the same percentage, or even higher, of standalone Players as an SVCD.
