I ripped a DVD with SmartRipper 2.41. Seems fine, VOB set plays all 3 hours fine.
When I try to encode to either divx or mpeg with DVDX 2.0, it seems to be going not quite the right speed or something. 3 hour movie turns into 2 1/2 hours of divx or mpeg. While encoding, will say, for ex., it's at 30:00 minutes into the movie and show that picture, but say 25:00 minutes encoded, at 1 hour say 50 min encoded, etc. Also sound slightly out of sinc, but that's probably a symptom of speed prob.
Any suggestions? I'm stumped.
Oh, American NSTC dvd by the way...
Okay, update...
Found someone with same prob on dvdx board:

Seems I need to detect and force 24hz.
Will report if it works tonight...
Yup, that's it, force 24hz was the magic check box...
