Help, CCE SP 2.64.01.02 won't take DV Type 1

I have a bunch of clips in DV Type 1 format from my Sony Digital 8. I have used TMPEGenc without issue, but to use CCE 2.64, I have to convert the DV to Huffyuv before it will encode. Why can't CCE deal with DV straight away? Also, how do I check if I even have DV codec loaded on my system? Every time I try and play a DV file with WMP, it says the codec is not available, but then it plays the file anyways after I click OK.

Also, VirtualDub gives me an error too, when I try and load DV file as well. It gives me a format error, so I suspect it may be a simple codec issue.

I got a reply over in the DVDplusRW forums. I needed to simply load Main Concepts demo DV codec. It worked like a charm. Didn't solve some other issues I have with other apps, but that is ok.
