Hello,
I just got the Vivastar RS-111 (aka, Panasonic LF-D310) DVD-Burner (for the RAM capability for my Panasonic E30, otherwise I would have got the Pioneer A104). When I try to rip a DVD with Smartripper, it unlocks the drive, then goes to "Read DVD Structure", then to "Switch to WinIO". At this point it tests file access and says "VTS_01_0.BUP -> Win_IO is locked!" . All the files before it read properly. It suggests that I use a player to unlock the file. I've tried My WinDVD (where it plays fine), but still get the same error when I go back to Smartripper. If I ignore and go to Smartripper anyway, I get over a hundred thousand blocks broken when I rip it.
Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong? Do I need to unlock the file differently with my player (beyond playing it)? I get this same error with several different DVDs (various studios, R0 and R1).
Also, I am assuming that once I get this to work, I can just burn it with the Vivastar recording software that came with it (I tried using that from scratch and it quits at 95% creation of the image).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
System:
Win ME
Smartripper 2.41
Vivastar Recording Software 1.0
Intel P3 700
320 MB Ram
40 GB HD (25 GB available)
Using the above DVD-Burner as the source and target drive.
