Hi.
I'm wanting to know is recording VHS or TV Footage better in Quality using a DVD Home Recorder(panasonic DVD-DMR E20) vs Capturing and editing into a descent computer with a BTchipset or better capture card?
Thanks in advance I hope i'm in the right forum i'm sorry if i'm not.

The current model is the E30,
I can tell you that in highest resolution mode, image quality over analogue is stellar on the E30. And it's easy as pie.
OTOH, with a good capture system you will have more flexibility in terms of editing, etc. But with the E30, you won't suffer from dropped frames or audio sync issues, which some of the capture solutions may suffer from. -
I would go with the panasonic dmr. You won't get any fancy menus or anything but it sure beats spending a million hours on a computer to capture edit etc.. and the video and audio is the most important thing anyway and the panasonic is flawless when transfering video and audio. And you will get a higher playback rate on other dvd players .than if you used a computer dvd burner.
