  1. ok.. i have some SVCDs that work perfectly in every standalone player that i've tried it on, and on my computer using WinDVD. but when i put them in my DVD drive and try to copy them (using nero) to a blank cd-r and error occurs... so i set that cd-r to the side (after still trying to play it in a standalone and WinDVD)... take out another one and try to copy it using adaptec easy cd creator 5 and i get another error... what is keeping me from copying these perfectly working homemade SVCDs... and no there isn't any copyright protection on them...

Note: on a relatives computer i have tried to copy the same disk using easy cd creator 4... and it states that an error occurs but yet the disk still plays on standalone and WinDVD... but it won't play when the error occurs on easy cd creator 5 or nero

    thanks in advance

    schickler,
I don't know about the adaptec software, but I've run into this problem running Nero if i have "Fast Copy (on the fly)" enabled when doing a disc to disc copy. I suggest disabling it and let it cache the files to the hard drive first. It will take longer, but I've yet to have a bad burn doing it this way.

  3. I tried the same exact thing with nero. What I have found is you must burn at 4x or slower, Not necessarily bumping to the hard drive. I did it dics to disc at 4x.

  4. A lot of thing might cause that problem.

First - don't use NERO or EZ to copy 1:1 CD.
Second - Have you check the file size of the original CD, it might be over burnt before so you can't use regular copy funtion.
Third - Try CloneCD which is very good for copy cd to cd.
Forth - If the disc is larger than 740 MB for 74 mins or 800MB for 80 mins you will need to create an image file in order to over burn it to cd as orginal.
Fifth and most important - what is your error, eh?

  5. where can i find the link to the CDClone? I am going to try this program first then I will give you the errors if it doesn't work. I get a different error when using Nero than when I use EZ
