  1. just got my self a dvd burn pioneer drv-104, and am wanting to watch all my .avi on my computer on dvd, not entierly sure what to do, woundering what the best method is 4 the process, been through all the help pages and that, but want to know what other people do, i know i can convert the file to mpg1 (vcd) but that gives crap quality and not sure if svcd is supported. i know there is an option to convert to dvd but that said it would take 24 hors but then that crashed so now im waiting to c what people tell me, cheers guys, n e help would be much appriciated.

  2. I assume you are talking about using TMPGEnc to convert to MPEG. Encoding to DVD does take a while; using CBR at full DVD resolution will probaby take over 4 or 5 times the original AVI clip duration at your processor speed. Doing 2-pass VBR will take even longer.

    Just let it run overnite, and select the shutdown when finished option and it will turn your PC off when it's done.
