Ok I have lot of rm files that play well on my computer screen, now what i want to do is display them on my tv in full screen like I do with windows media player but even if real player is on my tv when I select zoom full screen it still display it on my monitor not on my tv, so is there a way to do this with real player 8 or any other player that can read .RM files. I know I could convert them to another format but while doing so I lose image quality and it take foreverso I would really prefer to be able to just play them as they are.
Thanks in advance and I hope I posted in the right forum if not them excuse me.

i am guessing you have real 8 instead of realone because of real 8's ability to save streams. anyway realone goes to fullscreen and real 8 only goes to a windowed fullscreen.

not at all I was just using it since it is only the one I have on my hand, do you know where I could get realone, I checked on real player site but you need a credit card to get the trial version, so if you know an alternate url where I could get the trial version I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

cividan,
There is a free player; just they've done their best to hide it. Look in the upper right hand side of the RealOne home page and under "My Account" you'll find a link to the free player. -
if I have a divx file, can I play it full screen on the TV with the tv out port on my laptop. What programs of files do I need to do this. WIll Real One do it..and if so, how do I get divx codecs for real one

To answer the last part of your question you can find the divx codec at: http://www.divx.com
If you want a complete set of codecs that will pretty much play anything you download off the net, I suggest downloading the Nimo codec pack at:

ok I now have the new realOne player but I still get the same problem, No full screen on my tv, as soon as I select fullscreen I get it on my pc screen not on my tv. If anybody succeeded in this plz let me know how you did it.
And to answer Bucksfan1 question yes you can do it, as long as your file arent in real media format (.rm) as this is the problem I get but if they are in AVI just use windows media player and it will display them full screen on your tv-out without problem just drag it on the next monitor and zoom full screen.
