I've got an 40x (16x DVD)-speed-CDRom-drive but at SmartRipper it only reads DVDs with 2x; why?
I tested it with NeroDriveSpeed and there it only showed up a speed (normal CD-Rom) of 4x - but it theoretically has 40x.
What's wrong with my drivers/CD-Rom-drive??

It's a 40x max. It can go as high as 40, but it probally never will.
You may try these steps to improve the speed, but your speed is not an uncommon rip speed.
1.) Make sure DMA is enabled on HDD and DVD-ROM
2.) Make sure disk has no scratches, or few scratches
3.) Make sure an ASPI layer is installed
4.) Do nothing else while you rip, no other progs running.
