Help with ATI Rage Fury Video capture card.

Can any one make a sugestion?
I'm using an ATI Rage Fury Video capture card. When recording a vcr from a vidoe player to AVI file its fine. When I play the recording back, it has recorded fine for about 30 seconds then the file repeats & loops two frames over & over. It almost looks like has paused, but the audio continues on as normal while the video stops & keeps looping the same frame.

I am recording from a recent VCR player & have the latest drivers.

Can anyone assist. Genuine replies only please.
