  1. Hello

I have a problem with exporting my video to tape so that it would run smoothly. Now after the video is on the tape it jumps a little bit but very notably. There is no problem with audio thou, it runs perfectly. I use Premiere 6.0 and the video files are AVI, audio files are wav and mp3(128kbps). I've a 1,0 Ghz Athlon with 639 Mb RAM, my capture card is a Pinnacle(IEEE1934).

I have an IDE drive so changing that to SCSI drive would help, but is there any other way to reduce the jumping than buying that SCSI drive? Like exporting the whole video and audio into single files and then joining them or exporting the whole thing in smaller parts to the tape.

    Thanks in advance.

You may have answered your own question. It seems that saving your wav file separately and using TMPGEnc to mux them together solves this problem.

    1. Launch Virtualdub
    2. Load avi file
    3. Select Audio --- Full Processing Mode
    3. Select Audio --- Compression --- no compression PCM
    4. Select Audio --- Conversion --- convert to 44100 Hz
    5. Select File --- Save WAV
    6. Then launch Tmpgenc and select the avi file as video input and the wav file as audio input
    7. Select Load, then the appropiate template.
    8. Select Start. You file should be ready for the burn.
    Hello.
