I have an audio sync problem which is not related to audio 'drift' during playback but is of a fixed desync throughout the film.
It equates to an extra piece of film (usually a copyright warning or extra 20 Century intro or something) which is picked up and put in my audio wav from dvd2avi but does not appear in the video mpeg - thus causing desync a/v throughout the movie.
Is this an encryption measure as it only happens very occasionally with certain films? Has anyone found an easy way of fixing it other than painstakingly re-encoding using the 'source range' from tmpgenc until it's right?
Cheers

Yep...i know the problem. Pain in the butt, huh?
What you have to do is use the position and start/end markers in DVD2AVI to mark the beginning of the movie. You can also mark the end if you dont want to include the ending credits. The buttons are in the lower right corner and look like this:
[ < > ]
[ marks the start
] marks the end
Any portion of the movie outside the these marks will not be included.
Use the '< >' buttons to position to the actual start of the movie (or where ever you want to start from). Then click the [ button. I usually dont bother setting the end. Click 'File...Save Project...' Thats it.
