I was getting sick and tyred of all the fiddleing around i had to do to rip a DVD to VCD (you know, rip/frame serve/encode) and the time that it took to do it. I just wanted to stick the dvd in and have it do it all by it's self.
I tried some programs like "VCD Dup" and was very disapointed with the quality of the encodeing.
I wanted to use TMPGEnc to encode the video cos it does such a mint job.
and I also wanted a good quality audio decoder.
Well I found nothing, so i slaped on togeather myself.
It uses "SmartRipper v2.41" to rip the DVD files "BeSweet v1.3" to decode and change the sample rate of the audio "BeSplit v0.8" to fix AV-Delay probs and "TMPGEnc 2.57 Free" to encode the MPEG.
So now i can stick the DVD in and walk away, come back in a few hours and i've got an nice new VCD mpeg sitting there waiting for me.
So download it and give it a go. It's Freeware, I don't want no money.
Let me know what you think of it.
I know there is a few problems (Only rips to NTFS atm), but i will try to fix them up in the neer future.

Why don't you try DVD2SVCD? It's an all in one program. All you do is insert your DvD, play it for a few minutes, then run DVD2VCD and click the GO button. After several hours, you'll have the image files ready for burning.

1. At the TMPGEnc stage, I could not enter my audio file to the project wizard section.
2. In another section of TMPGEnc my audio and video files were present, but after entering all the data you suggested, upon hitting "enter", I got the message "File C:\My documents\My Videos\Pokemon the movie3\AC3T cannot open or is unsupported". This probably relates to question 1, but what went wrong?
4. How do you add the vfapi plug-in to the same folder as TMPGEnc?Proud Canadian -
I have used dvd2vcd and as with dvd dup was less than impressed with it.

As for the audio problem, at the moment, Eazy VCD only supports ripping the first Audio Streem, and only if it is AC3 English, it will then use BeSweet to comvert it to a 44.1Khz Wav file.
I am going to change this in the next week or two, along with a few other problems.
Thanks for your feedback though, I can't make it better if i don't know what you want.DVD to VCD made eazy
