My question is I am looking the most efficient, compressed pixel size (from NTSC format) to display a decent quality picture on a TV being played from a written CD/DVD?
I own a DVD burner and I would like to make the most efficient use of DVD+RW capacity by burning as much compressed video as possible on it, but yet display a good quality picture.
I hooked my satelite TV up through my ATI all in wonder 7500 card and started recording movies. I have been recording them at the highest quality (720x480). Now, I want to compress them down & fit as much as I effectively can on a DVD. (ie. I think my "Pearl Harbor" recording came out to be 10 or 11 gig.)
What tool(s) do you recommend for this compression? I have a program that came with my ATI card called "Video Studio" made by Ulead. And I use it for DV camera. Can I use it for compressing or do you recommend something else?
I also have recorded some cartoons and I would like display them like "chapters" on a DVD? What do you recommend to do this?
Thanks!
