I'd like to transfer VCD/DVD movies from my PC to video cassette. What hardware would I need (medium budget please) and what software would I need to connect my VCR to my PC and perform the transfers successfully.
Cheers

SOlution 1:
Use the Tv-OUT OF YOUR GF card and connect it to the VCR, chance is that you will have bars all around the picture...you could try TV-TOOL (see tools section to the left) to change this. QUality is not that good though and the output of the card (not plain PAL or NTSC) may confuse the VCR..you will just have to try... mayby by running it trough the TV first.
Second:
Use a standard DVD player (stand alone) and copy to the VCR using a good scart cable.
Third,
buy a Firewire/DV to analogue convertor like canopus has to offer..they will do the job both ways..depending on your system.
Greetz.
