I have a Sampo 600 series player and while watching a backup DVD-R it started skipping. The problem got worse as time went on and I had to switch to the original DVD to finish watching the movie. A couple days later, I put the backup in (TDK media) and advanced to chapter 20 where I had problems previously and it played fine. Yeah, I could buy a player from Circut City and try it for 30 days to see if I have the same problem or not but I thought you guys might be able to help me determine if I have a hardware or media problem.
