Does converting from 720x540 to 325x288 make a video look "smaller"? People look smaller and higher then in the original 720x540.
Or is this only so on PC and perfect on a TV?
I used VirtualDub to resise from 720x540 to 325x288 and also used TMPGEnc to convert (VCD). Both seem to have the same "smaller" movie.
Any logic on this?

It all depends on the aspect ratio. Since TV use rectangular pixels, and PC's use square pixels, you have to do some converion between the two.
Eg. 320x240, 640x480 is standard PC 4:3 aspect ratio, but on a TV you must use 352x240 and 704x480 to make the picture look the same. Not sure how you add black lines, or delete lines (vertical pixels) to get the correct aspect ratio.

Any one have an idea to do this using black lines ? -
720x540 is already in 4:3 aspect ratio why should you need to change the ratio? just resize to 352x288 (may look a little weird on computer but will look fine on tv).

Thanks Michael, that's the answer i whas hoping for.
By the way, is it possible to add black lines so the actual picture is smaller (width x height) but looks the same on TV as on PC-screen?
