    I use smart ripper to rip my dvds, but how would I go about ripping extras? such as outtakes, deleted scenes, trailers, music videos, etc?

    Rip in file mode instead of movie mode. Now you will have access to all the vobs on the dvd. After ripping the vobs to your hard drive use dvd2avi to preview them to see which feature they are.
