    But it will read dvd's fine. I bought it off of ebay. But it isnt working. Any ideas?

    Just to add. When I do imput a DVD R it keeps constantly trying to read the disc

    You sure is a DVR-104? I've heard of people getting ripped before with DVDRom drives sometimes. Other then that is might be a bad drive, for example my mothers cd burner did the exact oppisite of this last week, burns find but it can't read anything... RMA time for her after testing it in 2 different machines.
