Hello all,
I have a Pioneer DV-F07 DVD changer. This one plays all downloaded VCD's just fine on Verbatim Datalife plus.
However, if I make my own VCD's from mpegs with Nero or EZ CD Creator it detects them as valid VCD's and starts playing. But I can only hear the audio, the video stays blank.
I double checked the mpeg stream and the encoding (resolution, bitrate etc.) seems to be correct. I also played around with vcdgear -nobumper and -mpg2mpg options but the result is the same.
I dont understand why it plays pre-made VCD's just fine but not the ones i make with Nero/CD Creator ? Same media, burning speed etc. BTW: The homebrew one plays just fine in Windows Media Player.
Any ideas ?
Thanks.

Try lowering the resolution on your vcd to 352x240. Anything over 480 wont work on my tv. Try making a test vcd with all the different resolution settings and see which ones work and which ones dont. If none of them work buy an apex player.,
