  1. Im using Nero 5.5.9.0. It does not recognise my cd burner or my cd rom. This is imperative that i figure this out or how i can get around it. Question #2: When burning a vcd, this one happens to be 1400 mbs. Will Nero burn this onto 2 cds. Question #3: Is the picture on your tv very good with vcds? Question#4: Does anyone have a dvd player reccomendation? Question #5: If i burn a .nrv (nero image file) using another program will it work as a vcd on my tv? THe first question is the one i REALLY need answered but I need all the others too. My cd rom specs and everything are in the profile. My Cd writer IS compatible with nero. Thx alot. Install the aspi drivers. You can find them in the tools section on the right. #2 Split your movie in half with TMPGenc. #3 It all depends on your opinion. try it and if you don't like it go to svcd or dvd-r. #4 The apex ad 1600 or 2100 sounds nice. #5 i don't know

  7. I made u-571 into a SVCD and the quality is very good, better than my VHS.

In the past when all else fails I have shut down my computer and unplugged my ide and power to the suspect drives and rebooted, Then shut down and hook up the drives and rebbooted and let windows recognize them.

kind of a long road but it worked once for me.

In an earlier post MrPhelps had asked if your drives appeared in the device manger to which you made no reponse. On the assumption that they do, did you add on either of these drives after installing Nero? I know from experience that if you swap out one drive for another the next time you open up Nero it's going to be looking for the old drive and obviously won't find it. If this is the case it's a simple fix. Just uninstall Nero and reinstall it after a clean boot. I'm a little short on details here so this is only a guess.
