  1. I captured a movie from cable with my ATI Radeon card using the DVD profile. I tried to burn it using Nero DVD but it wont accept it. Is it not true DVD format or what is the best way to burn it. I tried Nero SVCD but it says its not in the right Format for SVCD. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  2. What sort of file did you capture to ? MPEG or AVI ?

Nero cannot author DVD's, It can only burn them.. in order to do so, you should have a .VOB file to put into the VIDEO_TS folder of your DVD.

For autoring DVD's many tools can be used...see the TOOLS section to the lower left of this screen.

After it is Authored, you can burn it using the authoring program (some !) or NERO.

For SVCD or XSVCD you should use 44.1 Khz Audio sampling instead of 48k for DVD. IF you chose a DVD template in any capture program, it probably is 48K and needs to be converted. Nero will tell you what's wrong when dragging the file to the SVCD.

At this point you can turn of standard compliance and it will burn the SVCD anyway...creating a X-SVCD (non standard SVCD) This may or may not work for your player or someone else his.

You can use MPG2AVI/DVD2AVI or TMPGenc to change the audio sampling. Better is to just do it right the first time.

    Greetz.
