I was wondering if anyone knew if the DVCII can capture Digital Cable. There is a setting for DV.

  2. If your Cable box has composite or s-video connections u can, or u can just plug the cables into the back of your TV, which most TVs come with those connections anyway.

    Peace,

There is one more thing I was wondering about. If I cut the mpg I make VCDeasy wants to pad it on the fly. Have you found a way around this or do you even have this problem?

  7. Hmmm...... haven't used VcdEasy yet, I've been using TMPgenc to do all my cut/merge for my movies, works like a champ with no padding.

That did the trick. I had been using moviestar to cut and was having problems with the resulting mpg. I'll just use TMPGrnc from now on.
