Can I load video from a DVC Pro-50 bit video tape into my mac? I have a HDV and a DV camera to play tapes from. Would the tape be compatible?
Thanks

dvc tape is about four times bigger than miniDV/HDV. you will need dvc pro50 deck or cam to use them.

What software is on the Mac?
DVCPro50 is usually capped SDI (uncompressed). If this is a one time need, take it to a pro dub house and pay the $30-$40 dub to file fee (depends on length). They can dub to uncompressed, DV or other file format.
BTW: It isn't 50 bit. It's 50Mb/s and 8 bit components.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
