I've got an AVI who's size is 608x240 with a framerate of 23.976. Using TMPGEnc, what settings should I use to convert this file for widescreen format? I'm totally lost. I need to make this ready for DVD burning.
Thanks in advance.

use NTSC film as your source (it should pick this automatically) and choose the output you want, I always choose 4: 3 retain aspect ratio but its up to you. Why run a short test to see what the output is like?

Most of the time if you set the source aspect to VGA 1:1 and set the other to 4:3 as stated above, the video will look right. You can tell by hitting start and looking at the video preview window.
