  1. Hi,
I recently posted about a problem i was having with a divx file. Now, in what appears to be a separate issue, VirtualDub is being uncool. Here's what happens: I have a divx file that is 733 MB big and contains about 180000 frames. Now previously when i opened this file with virtualdub it did so hassle-free. So i ran the file through divfix for the other problem i was having. So now I'm trying to open it in vbub to repair the bad frames, but whenever i open it up it gives me a dialog box with a progress bar stating it' "rebuilding missing index block". about halfway through the movie it switches to "aggressive" and suddenly jumps about an hour ahead in the film and finishes up. Then for some reason vdub thinks the movie only has about 10000 frames (however file information still shows 180000) and when i save the file to another file it only has 100000 frames and the filesize is only about 350 mb. Any suggestions?

  2. Oh and i have one more somewhat unrelated question. This film is in 25 fps, but as I am in the us I use NTSC, which is 29.97 fps. Vdub says if you convert the framerate you loose a/v synchronization. so, 1) will my settop play this if i encode it at 25 fps or will I have to convert it to 29.97, and will this mess up my a/v sync?
