HELP Easy CD Creator 5.0

I am very new at this. I coverted 1 movie with AVI2VCD and then burned it w/ Easy Cd Creator. It worked fine. I thought AVI2VCD program took to long to convert so, I downloaded TMPGEne and tried converting with that. IT seemed to have worked. It showed that it was 100% done. I also downloaded VCDEasy (I don't remember for what) but since that, I go into Video CD Creator (Roxio Easy CD Creator) and when I click on my mpg file to add to list I get an error message saying " VCDCR32 has caused an error in MFC42.DLL. VCDCR32 will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer." After I close that message, there is another one saying the same thing but instead of MFC42.DLL it has error in CREATOR.DLL

When I installed VCDEasy, there was something about selecting CDRDAO intergration (I have no idea what this is), so I clicked on that. Could this possibly be the cause and how would I fix that or whatever it might be.

I tired uninstalling Easy CD and installing it back, but that didn't work.

If anyone could help, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Any suggestions for which burner is the best (free)

I am having the exact same problem. I used Tmpeg to convert the file and now my Easy CD creater keeps crashing when I try to make the VCD. I orignally used Panisonic's conversion software and my Easy CD 5 worked fine. However, Panisonic took to long and hung up my video in the movie file. Could this be a tmpeg and Easy CD 5 conflict error? Anyone?

The short answer is: Easy CD Creator is garbage. Throw it away and get VCDEasy 1.1.1 for free. You can do everything there is about (S)VCD with it, still menus and chapters, etc. To make it work right, you might need to install Force ASPI. Go to Doom9.org and download it. Nero is more newbie friendly, but with limited features.
