hey guys wasn't there 2 models? The CD flashable and the one that wasn't? The difference was/is the drive inside plus who knows what else... might this be the reason why?

Also for DVD-R compatability could the no macro no RCE hack affect it? AKA make stuff no longer work that might have before?

I'm willing to test the DVD-R stuff on mine but haven't been able to get the hack to remove itself with the directions I've found....oh well.
