    1-get "tmpgenc plus" and install
2-open"tmpgenc plus" and close the project window leaving the main program open
3-uder the file tab of the main program, press "mpeg tools" to bring up a new window
4-click the last tab on the upper left called "merge and cut"
    5-in type select "mpeg 1 system(automatic)"
6-click the "add" button and select the mpeg you want to be first
7-keep adding the mpegs one by one until in the order you want until you have added all that you want
8-choose a name and location for the output file in the "output" line at the bottom
9-hit the "run" button at the bottom and wait until finshed

Drop them into your VCD authoring program, all as separate mpeg's. Your DVD should play them one after another, without the need to join them

  4. If I were to use tmpgenc plus to combine my mpgs, would I still get a "BEEP" in my playback where I had two of the clips joined? I know that tmpgenc makes a "BEEP" when you combine the files together.

  5. TMPGEnc beeps to notify you that it has finished the operation. It doesn't insert this into a file.
So you just merge the files together as jkl described and you're good to go.

Well you may do, depending on each of the files. If they finish and start without any difference in the audio, then you wont get any sound added to make up the difference. Also you may find that the beep is heard on the PC but not on the DVD player.

If each of your mpeg's had already been cut with TMPGEnc then they would have been cut correctly and no Beep would be added.

  7. All of the above threads are BS. You will almost ALWAYS get a loud and irritating beep between mpegs, and it has nothing to do with the sound being at a different level between one file and another. And no, it is not TMPENC notifying you that it is finished. Sure, you don't get it every time, but today I burnt an SVCD with 11 music clips onboard. The dreaded beep appeared in two places (between files).

This bug has always been with TMPenc, and continues even in the latest version of TMPenc Plus. Many many folk have reported and talked about it. A pity, as it is the only thing that spoils a brilliant encoder. Because of this, I burn all my mpeg files as separate files. Using VCD Easy to burn, you can reduce to pause between tracks to zero seconds, and the transition from one file to the next is almost unnoticeable. You can also reduce to gap to zero in Nero, but it then defaults back to 5 seconds before you burn

  9. That was a dumb thing to say, KingJohn.
If you check back you will see that the above quote was NOT from me

  10. I needed to join some mpg files for an SVCD once and there was a very noticeable slight pause at the juncture of the files.
So I joined them first with a utility called "Camel's MPEG Joiner" and it worked like a charm.
