I'm using virtual dub 1_4_10 to capture with my Gainward Geforce 4 ti4200. When I edit the avi, and then save it to DIVX, I constantly get CRC (cyclic redundancy check) error before the encode finishes. Why am I getting this? And how can I fix it?? Thanks.

I have that version of Vdub and that exact same video card. I haven't tried saving anything as a DivX file but I haven't seen any errors like that.

It just started doing it within the last couple of weeks. When I frameserve to TMPGenc it works fine. So I guess I will make MPEGs instead of divx from now on.

If it just started doing it then you should ask yourself what changes did you make to your machine? update any drivers? Install any new software?
