My lips dont match

I'm trying to burn a vcd with Nero.But....when i drag and drop the video i was intending on burning, Nero did its thing then.... that infamous window pops up....

The following problems were found:
-invalid audio stream: 48000 Hz, 2 channel

So I turned of standard compliance and continued but when the burn was complete, I tried it on my DVD player (sony ns 300), there was about a 2 sec delay between the video and the audio.

Any suggestions or solutions..

The audio is 48Khz and suppose to be 44.1Khz
Don't use Nero to convert, use TMPGEnc

If the AVI has AC3 use "Vdub AC3" to save out the audio first, then use that later with TMPGEnc
