  1. I have made an MPEG-2 file and tried burning it to DVD+R in Nero after it has been authoured. I put it in the Standalond DVD Player and it works but there is no sound but if I come back to the computer the file has sound but the authoring software changes it all into VIDEO_TS compatible files. Is there a way of getting my audio back. I am using SpruceUp to author and then Nero to burn as SpruceUp's own burner doesn't work for some reason??

  3. Most likely the audio in the VOB is stored in MPEG layer 1, is your
    set top a "newer" (within the last year, year and a half) unit?
    I am wondering if the set top cannot decode MEPG layer 1, but
    I doubt that may be the reason. Id suggest trying another
    authoring (DVD) software.

    I use:

    TMPGEnc -> MPEG2 DVD standards
    Ulead DVD Workshop -> VOBs
    Nero -> DVD

    All works perfect here.

    Good luck!

  4. Right, I have sorted it. The DVD player's sound was Optical (Digital) but the camcorders video is analogue so by plugging both cables into the amplifier and switching it now works . Thanks for your help...
