I can easily burn VCD 2.0 with VCDEasy, without any problems.
When I try to read on DVD Sony DVP - S335, the screen shows the logo of VCDEasy, but says under it
"Video CD 2.0 required - Turn on PBC Control to show photos"
I have tried burning with PBC control, without PBC control active, yet always get the same on my TV screen
Can anyone help?

Turn the PBC feature of your DVD player to "ON".
