I've been reading through old posts on this forum, and there are certain topics that I am still unclear on (due to conflicting responses):
I capture video of tv shows from my digital satellite receiver at resolutions of 720x480 in uncompressed AVI, and convert to NTSC VCD. Do I still need to deinterlace my video, or will the automatic resizing of the video to 352x240 when I encode to VCD not require me to deinterlace?
Also, what setting should I select for "source aspect ratio" in TMPGEnc? I think I have it narrowed down to "4:3 525line (NTSC)" or "4:3 525line (NTSC, 704x480)," but what are the differences between the two?
Lastly, what is the difference between the "full screen (keep aspect ratio)" and "full screen (keep aspect ratio 2) settings in TMPGEnc?
I'd appreciate any help.
