  1. on my divx movie i play and the audio seems to be faster that the video. i downloaded virtualdub and opened the divx with it and it said it detected a improper vbd audio encoding in the audio avi. it says it will rewrite the audio header with standard cbr values during processing for better compatibility.

    so uhhh what do i do

    What you should have done is search this forum, and you would have found that this has been posted many times.

    You need to save out the audio for later use, uncompressed !
    If the audio is AC3 then you will need to use "Vdub AC3"

    (No firewall, no DL Helper)

    Audio > full processing mode
    Audio > conversion > 44.1Khz
    SAVE WAV

    You should have an AC3 codec installed to work with those type of files, Nimo codec pack will provide one.

    You can also save the audio out and convert it later

    Audio > direct stream copy
    WAVE WAV
