  1. I am a mac using, imac flat panel with superdrive. I also have Toast. Is there some way to use vcd format to store photographs that can be played on my dvd player.

  2. Yes! Click that "how to author" link on the left, then scroll to the bottom of the linked page.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  3. Thanks for the reply...I looked at the link and it appears to do it well, I have to use a $600 app (Clean 5), Virtual PC and TMPGEnc and a couple of other applications in the VPC environment. Is there not a way to get good results using Mac and system X and Toast?

    Thanks,

  4. the best way to author stills in a VCD is to use VCD Builder, an awesome OSX free app available on VersionTracker

  5. Thanks, I have downloaded VCD builder: is the final product fairly hi res?
Also, I am using system 10.1.5. Lately, when I download a file (let's say from versiontracker), I get a .dmg file on my desk top which I convert to a file looking like a hard drives with the application in it. If I move that file to my hard drive to store it, an alias is then created in the drive rather than the app itself. So I must either left the application itself on my desktop or store the .dmg file as well. Is there a preference somewhere to change in disk copy or stuffit?? Very frustration...

    Thanks, GJH

Press the ALT key while moving the file to avoid aliases and force copy.

  8. I have played with VCD builder and wonder...is there some way of previewing/playing your sequences before you burn and how can you make ie, type in a menu. It there a manual (beyond what was provided) for using VCD builder?? I intend once I figure it out, to start putting family archival pictures on cd or should I use DVD to do it?

    Thanks,

    GJH
