  1. Hello, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to capture scenes from Playstation 2 games and how to convert my old video tapes into VCDs? I've been asking everwhere but no one seems to be able to help, please help!

Is there a way to capture/record scenes from Playstation 2 games directly into my PC and convert it into some kind of video file? I know I can record the PS2 games scenes with a VCR but if I do that than that would reduce the quality, plus I'de like to burn the scenes on a cd in the end. So is there anyway at all to get em into my PC without having to use a VCR?

Also, if there isn't anyway than is there a way to capture video tapes/casettes into my PC? If there isn't a way to capture the PS2 game scenes directly into my PC than I guess I'll have to record them with a VCR and then convert them into video files so I can finally burn them and make a VCD.

I'de appreciate any help at all you guys can give as I don't know who or where esle to ask about this. I really don't know much about video files and vcds but I'll tell you what I do know so you guys can hellp better, I know VCDs are common and can be played on VCD players(as they were made for em in the first place, I think), and the only way I know how to make a VCD is to use Nero and burn it. That's about all I know, oh and I know about the different kinds of video files too

Anyway, please help me if you can, it would mean a lot to me. Tell me what I would need to get/buy, what software I would have to use, and what I'de have to do. Thanks for reading! :P

  2. I capture VHS tapes with a cheap analog tv tuner. I use virtualvcr as a capture program. Check out the newbie guides "CAPTURE" on your left.
