    After recording a video on a vcd at 720 x 480 on a cd-rw, I realised that that when played on my home theater dvd it lags to the point where it's not viewable. Could this be because the cr-rw I wrote it on has a speed of only 4x or is there some other explanation?
    How am I to prevent lag from occurring?
    I also noticed that parts of the video image were slightly smudged. What can I do to sharpen the image?

    have you tried make standard vcds? does they work ok?
