  1. Hi Folks,
I m a very regular User of Nero Burn....well I always wanted to burn a S-VCD....with Nero...so I tried the MPEG-2 plug in of NERO @ My office PC...and tried Burning S-VCD by the NERO Plugin...but Freinds...the sad Part if the Total Process was that Nero Burn took approximately 5-6 HRS only to ENCODE the VIDEO to MPEG-2 (SVCD Format), before Burning the S-VCD....

So Although I was successfull in burning one S-VCD in around 6.5 hrs on my HP-Cd writer Model--9140 i....But I ran out of energy in the Complete Process....also I dont see any difference in quality between a VCD and S-VCD while Playing it on my VCD-Player...

Can any one please suggest me a quicker and simpler method to RE-Encode my MPEG1 files to MPEG2...using the same NERO apparatus....

Any help or Suggestion will be a BOON for me...please HELP folks...

please don't post same post in several forums.

it is not possible to increase the speed of nero other than get a faster processor or wait for a new release of it.

have you tried any other encoder like tmpgenc?
are you encoding mpeg1 vcds to svcds? if so don't except any quality improvement, crap in crap out.

  3. How fast is your computer? Having a fast computer would boost up the speed a lot.

    Hi,

I agree..you must encode first with TMPGenc then run it through Nero.
I inadvertently ran a clip through Nero without encoding through TMPGenc first and found it takes an incredibly long time. Quality will also improve unless you are converting mpg1 to SVCD.
    Good luck!

  5. reencoding vcd mpeg 1 to svcd mpeg 2 is of no use....quality is less....

one can make something that is not there...

always use source avi to convert to mpeg 2 and het a faster computer if you want is done quicker.
