MPEG network rendering

Here's a quick question....

I was wondering if there was any software that can farm out rendering tasks to other computers on a network. i.e. have 5 2Ghtz PC's encoding the one video. I suspect there would be some high end software that would do this but is there anything more "mainstream"?

well sure -- rayz and fusion use network rendering .. but neither are for mpeg if that is what you are rendering . for mpeg , no , i do not believe there are any main stream 9or even high end ) network render .. but you could always split up the source and farm it out by hand
