Hi, I'm very new to using adobe premiere. I've been getting quite decent at figuring out how to edit video on my own. However I have one problem. I got an ATI TV Wonder PCI and it allows me to import clips directly as VCD MPEG clips. Now as I'm trying to edit our movie, premiere seems only to be able to export the video as an AVI or some other source. Obviously I don't want that. I really don't want to have to convert it to AVI and have the already compressed file converted again back to MPEG. That would just kill quality and take time. Is there a way for it to just keep the MPEG quality or what?

Well, I have exactly the same problem, I have and ATI all in wonder, and encode mpeg1 and mpeg2, to my saqtisfaction. You can render your work using the caracteristic export to web. There exist a program that export in diferent formats. This is CleanerEZ, when you descuber wil thing you are saved, but are wrong. The program takes many time to render and pass to the same format, fps, size, etc. that you have in your source files; and the result is poor, the image in the movie very bad.
Maybe I don't have probe enough. Anyway I'm looking somekind of plugin that workes better than CleanerEz
